Notre Dame Nature Study Club is the first nature club in the nation and the pioneer of all other nature related club in Bangladesh. The club was founded in 29th August, 1984. It is one of the most prestigious clubs in Notre Dame College. The club has successfully organised many nature related events including 2 International Nature Summits and 7 National Nature Summits. Club Activities

Daily Activities: Nature news collection, Literary reading of nature research articles, collection of articles for Wall magazine, etc

Weekly Activities: Club meeting, Class on nature, Workshop on nature and photography, etc

Monthly Activities: Field trip, Trash-bag Challenge, Photowalk, Attending and organizing nature awareness seminars, Photography training session, etc.

Yearly Activities: Nature festival, Green Inspiration Conference, Yearly Magazine – Nishorgo, Outreach Programs, Annual Field trip, etc.

Field Work

Our members are encouraged to study nature being in vicinity to mother nature. They study different elements of nature , observe the complex interaction of animals with its surrounding and are taught different methods of preservation of nature. Every month, they go for a clean-up program at a certain place to manage wastes of that specific area.

Circulation

Our annual magazine “Nishorga” is published every year which contains articles on nature, photo album, reports on nature festivals, field work and other regular activities of the club
